Grantsville City has announced a proposed tax rate increase included in the Fiscal Year 2027 interim budget. The city is providing public access to property tax impact schedules and Truth in Taxation notices for residents to review.

Young athletes compete at their first race of the season

On Sept. 1st, 2026, 44 young women and 80 young men gathered together at Grantsville Junior High School to compete in the first race of the 2026 Tooele County cross country season. The course was approximately two miles long and followed a route through the grassy field, around the front of the school, out to the Hale Street stop sign, back to the grassy field, and then looped around once more.

Cowboys ripped to shreds by Hurricane Tigers

The Grantsville Cowboys had an away game against the Hurricane Tigers on Sep 4. Despite the Cowboys's efforts, the Tigers owned Q1 with a 10-0 score. Cache Hammond (#51) kicked a field goal and scored three points for the Cowboys in Q2, but the Tigers scored an additional 20 points, which resulted in a 30-3 score.

Grantsville Volunteer Responds to Tooele County Fire in Sunday Best

A Grantsville volunteer firefighter responded to a structure fire in eastern Tooele County while dressed in Sunday attire. The fire, which occurred on Sept. 6, 2026, destroyed two outbuildings but resulted in no injuries or livestock loss.
