Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest : Recreation Site - Blackhawk Campground
This campground is closed due to fire damage. This timbered-setting campground sits just off the Nebo Loop, a National Scenic Byway. Visitors enjoy the campground for its beautiful panoramic views and great trail opportunities. The dominant vegetation consists of fir, pine, aspen, and Gambel oak trees, which provide partial shade and nice fall color. Broad grassy meadows cover the areas around the trees. Summer wildflowers and wildlife are abundant. 5 miles away is Payson Lake, a fifteen-acre day-use lake stocked with rainbow and brown trout fishing, canoeing, swimming and picnicking.
