Emery County Commission to Hold Public Hearing on Solar Ordinance

The Emery County Commission will hold a public hearing on October 5, 2026, to discuss the Emery County Utility-Scale Solar Energy Systems Ordinance. The hearing will take place at the Emery County Administration Building in Castle Dale.

Unsecured loads now subject to $10 fee at Emery County Landfill

EMERY COUNTY – Residents hauling trash to the Emery County Landfill will now need to make sure their hauls are properly secured or they will face an additional fee. Utah House Bill 53 requires landfills and transfer stations throughout the state to charge at least $10 for vehicles that arrive with loads that are not properly secured.

Kids triathlon wraps up Summer while supporting local youth
