Local Review: Renée Mackin — The Bluest Bird - SLUG Magazine
Renée Mackin’s The Bluest Bird is a folk album that blends the sounds of Americana-meets-classic-country with candid lyrics and the vivid scenes of rural Utah. Mackin is self-described as “a seasoned storyteller, a songsmith, a little machine with a mighty voice, a troubadour, as well as a poet with lyrics that can make you cry.” Naturally, then, each track is a gripping story paired with beautiful instrumentation.

Film review: The Social Reckoning - SLUG Magazine
When The Social Network came out in 2010, we all watched it from the point of view of people whose lives, networks and social circles had become inexorably linked to the tech platform. Local Review: Alli Brown — Undeniable - SLUG Magazine
Self-described as a creator of music for the dreamers, Brown's most recent work draws inspiration from several musical traditions, including pop, folk, rock, and country the latter being the most prominent. The result is eleven well-written and produced tracks that give off Nashville vibes (albeit minus the booze-soaked fake nostalgia) and are heavier on the Utah soda-shop positivity.
