The Springville Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a meeting on Oct. 27, 2026, to address several legislative policy decisions, according to a notice published Oct. 23, 2026. The meeting will include a public hearing to review public safety impact fees and proposed zoning changes.
The scheduled meeting will begin at 7:00 P.M. at the City Council Chambers located at 110 South Main Street in Springville, Utah. The agenda includes the approval of the meeting agenda and the approval of minutes from the Oct. 13, 2026, meeting.
During the legislative session, the commission will hold a public hearing regarding two primary items. First, Springville Public Safety has requested a review and recommendation for an updated Public Safety Impact Fee Facility Plan and Impact Fee Analysis. This item involves a legislative policy decision regarding how impact fees are assessed for new developments. The commission's recommendation will be sent to the City Council for a final decision at a later public meeting.
The second item on the legislative agenda involves a proposal from Springville Public Safety to amend the Official Zoning Map. The proposal seeks to add a Wildland Urban Interface Overlay Zone, which would define the specific area within the city where newly adopted Wildland Urban Interface regulations apply. Like the impact fee item, this is a legislative policy decision that will require a recommendation to the City Council for a final decision at a future meeting.
The commission's agenda includes a consent agenda for administrative actions that require no additional discussion. If an item on the consent agenda receives an objection or comment, it will be moved to the regular administrative session meeting agenda for discussion. The meeting may be conducted by electronic means pursuant to Utah Code Annotated Section 52-4-207 and Springville City Code 2-4-102(4).
For those requiring special assistance or reasonable accommodations to participate in the meeting, the City requests notification to the Community Development department at least three business days prior to the meeting. The City will provide accommodations for anyone attending the meeting if needs are communicated at least 48 hours in advance.
