In 2020, Idaho became the first state in the country to pass a law restricting transgender athletes in sports. Legal challenges ultimately put the issue in front of the Supreme Court. This past June, the court affirmed laws banning transgender athletes from playing in women’s and girls’ sports — including the Idaho law.
