Flood prevention efforts help protect Pine Valley homes while recreation area floods

Flood prevention work by the Forest Service has helped keep residential areas safe in Pine Valley, though recreation land is experiencing more damage from storms. This year is so much better than last year. There's a night-and-day difference between the type of flooding and the amount of damage, said Pine Valley Fire Chief Robert Hardy.
