Mound Fort Junior High School music teacher Connor Pack has received the Achieving Higher award for September 2026, according to an Ogden School District announcement.
The peer-nominated award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exemplary effort by doing more than what is expected to serve their students and colleagues.
In a statement regarding the recognition, officials noted that Pack has done a stellar job supporting students in the state-championship-winning Ogden High School marching band, alongside Mr. Beal at Mount Ogden.
Pack was cited for his patience, optimism, and unmatched commitment at all hours of the day and night. The district noted his selfless dedication to the program and students, stating that his leadership and persistence contribute to the exceptional nature of the band.
