The Northwestern football class of 2027 saw significant movement during June 2026, as the program secured 13 new commitments. This brought the total number of committed players for the 2027 cycle to 20. The recruiting efforts marked an improvement for Head Coach David Braun, whose previous best national ranking was 56th in 2026.
The recent group of commits included several high-profile athletes across various positions. Kenyon Norman, a running back from Ohio, joined the class as the 32nd-ranked player in his state. On the offensive line, the program added 6-foot-6 tackle Andrew Davalla from Ohio and 6-foot-8 tackle Caleb Siler from Texas.
Defensive additions included Jaiden Davis, a defensive lineman from Ohio, and Jared Zames, an edge defender from Florida. The linebacker corps gained depth with the commitments of Blake Loughlin from Minnesota and Nolan Buirley from Ohio. The secondary was bolstered by Kingston Thornton, a cornerback from Texas; Cristian Mbamarah, a cornerback from Colorado; and Marcus Turpin, a safety from Maryland.
Wide receiver commitments featured Jordan Cason from Florida, Lincoln Cook from Pennsylvania, and Amir Hogans, an athlete from New Jersey.
While these recruits still had high school football to complete before joining the program, the June additions helped elevate Northwestern's national standing. At the time of these commitments, 247
Sports ranked the Wildcats' class 34th in the nation.
