BYU athletic director Brian Santiago says the university is investing unprecedented resources into football and remains committed to supporting Kalani Sitake, according to a report published October 24.
During an interview on the Cougar Tracks Podcast at Big 12 Basketball Media Day, Santiago discussed several topics, including his relationship with Sitake and administrative changes to the program's oversight. Vice President Keith Vorkink has been assigned to oversee BYU football.
Santiago also cited more than $25 million in ongoing football capital projects. These discussions occurred following a BYU football victory over Notre Dame, at which time the Cougars were ranked No. 2 in the country.
Santiago addressed the responsibility to build upon the national momentum currently held by the program.
