Public Notice on Water Conservation Request
Reason for conservation request
Eagle Mountain City is repairing a mechanical failure affecting equipment in one of our water pressure zones. Until the repair is complete, water pressure in the affected area could drop.
The City must keep water pressure above 20 pounds per square inch (psi). If pressure falls below that level, we would be required to issue a boil water notice. To avoid that, we are asking residents in the affected pressure zone, along with anyone citywide who can help, to cut back on outdoor watering for a short time. Outdoor irrigation is one of the largest sources of summer water demand, so even a temporary reduction will go a long way toward keeping pressure stable.
What We Are Asking Residents to Do

Pause or significantly reduce lawn and landscape watering, including automatic sprinkler systems, until the repair is finished.
Repair timeline and updates
The contractor performing the repairs has advised the City that work on the mechanical issue will begin Monday, July 6, 2026. The City understands the importance of resolving this issue promptly and notes that the start date was not pushed back due to the Independence Day holiday. It reflects the contractor’s earliest availability. Updates will be provided if the timeline changes.
Impact of reduced water demand
If demand stays low during this period, we expect to maintain normal pressure and avoid any mandatory restrictions.

Information regarding golf course irrigation
Please note: Ranches Golf Club is on a separate well that is not culinary grade. The golf course’s system has no impact on the City’s in the event you see their sprinklers in use.
