The Town of Manila Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing and regular meeting on Nov. 5, 2026, according to a notice published Oct. 29.
The meeting is set to begin at 6:00 PM at the Town Conference Meeting Room located at 145 E. Hwy 43 in Manila, Utah.
A public hearing is scheduled to address a lot re-zone request for the property at 36 N. 3rd W. The applicant is requesting to change the zoning from the Residential-Low Density District to the Commercial District. The goal of this request is to allow the lot, which sits in front of an existing commercial property, to be sold and marketed as a separate commercial property.
The regular meeting agenda includes several new business items and the review of previous minutes from Sept. 3, 2026, Sept. 29, 2026, and Oct. 13, 2026. New business items include:
A lot re-zone request from Brooke Holman and Brady Bargar, Trustees, to change a portion of a lot from Residential-Low Density District to Commercial.
A building permit request from Joseph Barker for an out building garage located at 235 N. 4th E.
A subdivision plat amendment request from Ronald Cowdell to combine two lots located at 324 N. 3rd E. and 345 E. 3rd N.
The commission previously addressed a building permit request from Don Leclaire for an out building garage on 244 E. 4th N., with a motion to approve the plot map made by Dennis and seconded by Randall.
