Lynndyl Town recently managed several municipal projects, including a scheduled test of its emergency alert system and an active bidding process for a water pump replacement project.
Emergency Siren System Testing
The Millard County Sheriff's Office Emergency Management Division conducted a test of the town's siren systems on April 20, 2023. The testing was part of The Great Shakeout earthquake preparedness initiative and included various alert tones, such as hi-lo signals for sheltering in place, steady tones for community evacuations, and specific tones for fire-related emergencies.
Water Pump Procurement Bidding
In a separate infrastructure effort, Lynndyl Town issued a request for competitive sealed bids for the procurement and installation of a replacement water pump. The town sought a single contractor to handle all equipment, materials, labor, testing, and maintenance training.
Project Funding and Deadlines
The water pump project may have been supported by federal funding, such as HUD’s Community Development Block Grant. The deadline for submitting bids for the installation project was November 18, 2024.
