Authorities identified Robert Bow, age 68, as the individual killed in a motorcycle crash near the 3300 block of Washington Boulevard in Ogden.
Bow was traveling southbound on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Tuesday afternoon when the collision occurred.
According to the Ogden Police Department, the crash happened when a Ford Escape exited a parking lot at 3355 Washington Blvd. and attempted to make a left-hand turn.
Bow was unable to avoid the vehicle and struck the front of the Ford. Although witnesses and fire personnel attempted life-saving measures, Bow died from his injuries.
The police department used the incident to remind drivers to use extra caution on the roads during the summer months.
Officials stated that summer is often one of the deadliest times of year for traffic crashes and urged motorists to slow down, stay alert, and keep a proper lookout for motorcycles, bicycles, pedestrians, and other vehicles.
