Maeser Prep released an update in a report published August 28 regarding school calendars, fee schedules, and various campus updates. The announcement included details on lunch options, volunteer opportunities, and upcoming important dates for students and parents.
Lunch options for the week include Chick-fil-A on Monday, Costa Vida on Tuesday, Little Caesar’s Pizza on Wednesday, and Yummy’s Korean Barbecue on Thursday. For Monday, Chick-fil-A offers chicken sandwiches, nuggets, and side salads, with pre-orders closing Sunday at 6:00 p.m. Costa Vida offerings include burritos and salads, with pre-orders closing Monday at 12:00 p.m. Yummy’s Korean Barbecue provides teriyaki chicken meals, with pre-orders closing Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. Little Caesar’s Pizza slices are available without pre-order. Students bringing lunch from home may use available microwaves, though no refrigerator facilities are provided for student use.
The school announced that high school Shakespeare Ensemble practice was scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on August 28 in Drama room 121. Upcoming important dates include Labor Day on Monday, September 7, when there will be no school, and a Full Dress Day on Tuesday, September 8. Additionally, teachers are seeking meal donations for parent-teacher conferences on September 10, with sign-ups for food or cleanup available.
Academic eligibility for 1st term sports in the 2026-27 school year requires 9th-12th graders to have a 2.7 GPA with no Fs or NGs and for 10th-12th graders to be on track for graduation. 7th and 8th graders must also maintain a 2.7 GPA with no Fs or NGs. For sports physicals, those completed on or after March 10, 2026, are valid until July 15, 2027.
The Maeser Board Business meeting schedule has changed to the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m., with meetings held at the Maeser Library and online. Counseling announced that schedule changes were finalized as of August 20 and no further changes will be made. The counseling team is also requesting donations of assorted individually wrapped candy.
Parents are reminded to check in at the front office when visiting the school during hours. Front office hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
