Linda Marie Andrus Stowell passed away on July 31, 2026, after facing ALS with grace. Born on November 26, 1949, she was a respected interior designer, educator, and community leader in the Cache Valley area.
Linda attended Ricks College and Brigham Young University before graduating from Utah State University with a degree in Interior Design. She established a successful interior design business and served as the key instructor for the Interior Design program at Bridgerland Tech in Logan, Utah.
Beyond her professional career, Linda was heavily involved in the 4-H horse club for over 30 years. As a 4-H leader, she mentored more than 150 youth in horse riding and was known by her students as the horse whisperer due to her ability to understand both horses and youth.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Linda served in various callings, including as a teacher in the Young Women organization and as the president of the Relief Society. She expressed finding peace through temple service and maintained a strong testimony throughout her life.
Linda is survived by her daughter Stephanie, son Shane (Stacey), and three grandchildren: Porter, Kelsey, and Sophie Stowell. She is also survived by her nine siblings: Roy (Jo), Clint (Carrie), Kim (Marcie), Ben (Carla), Paul (Sandy), LaWana (Bob Kesler), Dan (Valerie), Nola (Kip Harris), and Jay (Dawna).
In accordance with her wishes, Linda is donating her body to research, and no public services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Whispering Canyon Foundation’s 4-H horse program via Venmo at @Whispering-Canyons.
