Ogden firefighters rescued several ducklings from a storm drain grate near McKay-De Hospital earlier this week, according to an announcement from the Ogden Fire Department.
The rescue occurred after a concerned mother duck discovered her ducklings had fallen through the grate. The Ogden Fire Department reported that hospital security requested assistance after the incident was discovered.
Firefighters were able to safely retrieve the stranded ducklings and reunite them with their mother. The department stated on social media that they are proud to protect all members of the community, whether two-legged or web-footed.
