A collaborative effort between the Economic Development Administration, Southeastern Utah Association of Local Governments, ImPact Utah, USU Eastern, and San Juan County Economic Development has announced funding to support businesses seeking ISO 9001 certification.
The program provides financial assistance to help organizations implement the quality management standards required for certification.
ISO 9001 establishes criteria for a quality management system and serves as a manufacturing standard that can be utilized by any organization, regardless of size or field. The standard is used by over one million companies across more than 170 countries.
The certification is built upon principles such as continuous improvement, a process approach, top management implication, and a strong focus on customers. By utilizing these principles, organizations can work toward ensuring consistent, high-quality products and services.
