The No. 12 ranked Utah football team secured a 41-24 victory over Kansas at a sold-out Rice-Eccles Stadium. The win moves the Utes to a 5-0 record and 2-0 in Big 12 play.
Wayshawn Parker and Devon Dampier combined for six touchdowns in the win. Parker rushed for 171 yards, including a 90-yard touchdown run, which was the longest play of the season for the team. Dampier recorded four total touchdowns, including three passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown, while tallying 238 passing yards and 71 rushing yards.
Receiver Ricky Johnson recorded a career-best 104 yards on five targets, including a touchdown catch from Dampier. Noah Bennee also scored a touchdown on a 6-yard pass from Dampier. Semi Taulanga scored a 1-yard touchdown pass from Dampier in the fourth quarter.

Utah has now scored 30 or more points in 11 consecutive games, a streak dating back to the 2025 season that is the longest in the nation. This victory marks only the fourth time in program history that Utah has won its first five games by at least 14 points, joining previous seasons in 1953, 1994, and 2004.
Utah is scheduled to play at Colorado on Saturday, Oct. 17, with a kickoff at 8:15 p.m. MT. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
