One significant development includes the passage of legislation through the Ways and Means Committee designed to protect the tax-exempt status of faith-based organizations. The Fair Treatment of Religious Organizations Act seeks to ensure these groups can apply religious standards to employees without losing eligibility for federal contracts or funding.
In recent legislative efforts, Moore introduced the Foster Youth Investment Act. This bill aims to help children in foster care achieve long-term financial security through Trump Accounts by adding foster youth as an eligible qualifying class. This change would allow states and philanthropic organizations to make contributions directly to foster youth without a contribution limit.
Additionally, Moore introduced the Anti-Fraud Fund Act of 2026 to strengthen efforts to identify and recover taxpayer dollars from government program fraud.
