The Monster Energy Big 12 Men’s Basketball tip-off times and linear television designations for the 2026-27 season have been announced. According to a statement from the conference, the Big 12 is set to be the most widely distributed conference in the country.
The conference-controlled national television schedule includes a total of 164 matchups. These games will span five national network partners: ESPN (ABC/ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU), CBS Sports (CBS, CBS Sports Network), FOX Sports (FOX, FS1), NBC (Peacock), and TNT (TNT, truTV).
A total of 69 contests will air across the ESPN family of networks. This includes a matchup between Texas Tech and Kansas in Lawrence on Feb. 6, which will be broadcast on ABC. ESPN will also feature seven Big 12 schools on its Big Monday lineup, starting with Kansas at Houston on Feb. 1. Additionally, a trio of games, including Kansas at Iowa State, will be played on Super Bowl Saturday on Feb. 13. All five schools in ESPN’s Preseason Top 25 rankings—No. 4 Arizona, No. 9 Texas Tech, No. 18 Houston, No. 19 Kansas, and No. 20 BYU—will appear on ESPN during the 2026-27 season. All conference games not selected for linear networks will be streamed on ESPN+.
FOX Sports will air 34 matchups throughout the 2026-27 campaign, with nine on the FOX broadcast network and 23 on FS1. The season openers for BYU against Ohio State and Iowa State against Memphis will appear on FS1 on Nov. 2. The league opener between Texas Tech and Cincinnati on Jan. 2 will be the first conference game of the season broadcast on FOX. Other matchups scheduled for FOX or FS1 include UCF’s trip to Kansas on Jan. 16 and West Virginia at BYU on Jan. 23.
CBS Sports will carry 26 games, with six on CBS and 20 on CBS Sports Network. All six CBS games will be league games, beginning with West Virginia at Kansas on Jan. 19. Games airing on CBS will also stream live on Paramount+. Meanwhile, NBC will stream 20 contests on Peacock. BYU, TCU, Texas Tech, and Utah will appear on Peacock during nonconference play before 16 league games are featured. TNT will air 15 matchups, including three on truTV, such as the Baylor and TCU game on Jan. 19.
The Big 12 placed eight teams in the NCAA Tournament last season, including reigning league champion Arizona, which reached the Final Four. The conference is projected to remain a top league, following a season that produced a conference-record 13 NBA Draft picks, including No. 1 AJ Dybantsa from BYU and No. 2 Darryn Peterson from Kansas.
