BYU and Utah State were represented on the Jim Thorpe Award Watch List on Wednesday, according to a report published August 12.
The Jim Thorpe Award is bestowed annually upon the top defensive back in major college football.
BYU junior safety Faletau Satuala was included on the list. Satuala recorded three interceptions, two forced fumbles, and 7.5 tackles for a loss last season for the Cougars.
Utah State senior safety Brevin Hamblin was also represented. Hamblin posted a pick six, 2.5 tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, eight pass breakups, and two forced fumbles for the Aggies last season.
