The Park City Historic Preservation Board is scheduled to hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2026, to address multiple property applications and legislative updates. According to a notice published Oct. 15, the meeting will include a site visit and a work session regarding the Historic District Grant Program Phase 2 updates.
The meeting is scheduled to begin with a site visit at 4:00 PM at 37 Hillside Avenue. This will be followed by a 5:00 PM work session focused on updates for Phase 2 of the Historic District Grant Program. The regular meeting will take place in person at the Marsac Municipal Building Council Chambers, located at 445 Marsac Avenue, Park City, Utah, with virtual participation options available.
Several property-specific items are on the regular agenda for consideration. The board will hold public hearings and take action on the following: 1301 Park Avenue, involving material deconstruction and a proposed change from a duplex to a single-family dwelling; 37 Hillside Avenue, concerning material deconstruction, relocation, and panelization; and 830 Empire Avenue, regarding material deconstruction and lifting a landmark historic structure to construct a new foundation and basement addition. Additionally, the board will consider an appeal regarding a design review pre-application for 313 Park Avenue involving the installation of an awning within a rear setback.
The board will also consider amendments to the Land Management Code regarding window allowances for new residential infill construction. These amendments to Section 15-13-8 would allow flexibility for window materials in historic districts when compatibility, fire-rating, and sustainability criteria are met. A recommendation regarding this matter may be provided for Planning Commission consideration on Nov. 18, 2026. The board is also scheduled to consider adopting the regular meeting dates for 2027.
Individuals requiring special accommodations for the meeting can notify the Park City Planning Department at 435-615-5060 at least 24 hours in advance. Virtual participants may comment by raising their hand on Zoom, while written comments submitted before or during the meeting will be entered into the public record.
