The fast-moving Widemouth 2 Fire has grown to over 97,000 acres and currently has 10 percent containment. Firefighters have successfully protected the towns of Fillmore and Kanosh as the blaze continues to spread.

ANNABELLA, Utah (ABC4) — Firefighters are responding to a new wildfire that has started in Sevier County in the Fishlake National Forest. Forest Service, Rock Canyon 2 Fire started on Saturday afternoon on Cove Mountain, east of Annabella. Two engines and one helicopter are on scene conducting suppression operations.
Two pilots died Friday morning when their firefighting Sikorsky S-64 helicopter crashed near Richfield, Utah, while battling the Widemouth 2 Fire. The crash occurred near the south end of the wildfire, which has grown to over 111,000 acres, making it the largest wildfire of Utah's 2026 fire season.
