A Cottonwood Heights woman was sentenced to up to 30 years in prison for the abuse and manslaughter of her elderly mother in 2025. Lori Meers, 54, was found guilty of second-degree felony intentional aggravated abuse of a vulnerable adult and manslaughter in July this year.
