Since 2012, the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office has helped bring festivals, cultural celebrations, neighborhood gatherings, and other community events to life through the Arts, Culture, and Entertainment (ACE) Grant. Applications for 2027 community-led events are open now through Nov. 1 to help support more opportunities for families, neighbors, and residents of all ages to gather in Salt Lake City together.

Individual funding amounts range from $500 to $10,000 and can be used to support cultural programming, education, festivals, and neighborhood gatherings. To qualify, events must take place within Salt Lake City limits and support the City’s vision and goals.

“When we invest in ACE grants, residents see that support come to life in their own neighborhoods,” said Mayor Erin Mendenhall. “They help local organizers create affordable ways for families and neighbors to spend time together, celebrate their communities, and enjoy Salt Lake City’s cultural diversity. That’s why we’ve continued this program for 15 years and counting.”

The City will host four information sessions in October for event organizers interested in learning more about the ACE Grant and how to apply:

October 14, Noon–1 p.m.

Day-Riverside Library (1575 W. 1000 North)

October 22, 5:30–6:30 p.m.

Main Library, Conference Room B (210 E. 400 South)

October 27, 1–2 p.m.

Virtual meeting via Microsoft Teams

October 29, 6–7 p.m.

Sprague Library (2131 S. 1100 East)

Community members with questions can contact the City’s ACE Grant Coordinator, Sara Anderson, at ACE@slc.gov. More details and the application are available at slc.gov/mayor/ace-fund. Grant recipients will be announced in late December.
