In Panguitch, the forecast included periods of thunderstorms and showers. For example, a period following July 14 saw high temperatures reaching near 86 degrees with an 80 percent chance of precipitation on Wednesday. Subsequent days through the following week showed continued chances for showers and thunderstorms with highs ranging between 82 and 85 degrees.
The forecast for the Upper Sevier River Valleys included several days of potential storm activity, including a high chance of precipitation reaching 90 percent on Thursday.
