BYU and Utah were both represented on the All-Big 12 preseason football team, according to a report from Mid-Utah Radio.
On Monday, designations for the preseason team were announced, featuring players from both local programs.
BYU senior tailback LJ Martin was named the projected Offensive Player of the Year.
During the previous season, Martin recorded 1,305 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, totaling 1,560 scrimmage yards for the Cougars.
The preseason designations also included a Texas Tech junior defensive player as the projected Defensive Player of the Year.
