A new fire known as the Widemouth 2 Fire is burning south of Kanosh in Millard County. Located on Fishlake National Forest lands, the fire has grown to an estimated size of more than 20 acres.
According to Utah Fire Info, the fire is expanding rapidly due to gusty winds.
Lightning is the suspected cause of the blaze following a rapid lightning storm that moved through the area this evening.
Air and ground resources are currently engaged in responding to the fire. At this time, no structures are threatened by the flames.
