Levan Town will hold its first Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) public hearing on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2026, according to a notice published Oct. 29, 2026.
The hearing is scheduled to take place from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Levan Town Hall, located at 20 N Main Street in Levan, Utah.
The purpose of the scheduled hearing is to provide citizens with information regarding the Community Development Block Grant program and to allow for discussion of possible projects. The meeting will cover program requirements, eligible activities, and expected funding allocations within the region.
Levan Town is eligible to apply for funding through the CDBG Small Cities Program. This is a federally funded program that is administered by the State of Utah's Division of Housing and Community Development (HCD). Eligibility for the funding is contingent upon the town meeting all applicable program requirements.
The CDBG Program can fund various activities, including the construction of public facilities and works such as fire stations or water and sewer lines. It can also fund the acquisition of real property and the provision of public services, such as homeless shelters or food banks.
If Levan Town decides to move forward with a CDBG funding application, a second public hearing will be held at a later time to discuss the specific project.
Individuals requiring special accommodations, such as auxiliary communicative aids or services, should notify Cheldi Oliver at the Levan Town Office, 20 N Main Street, at least three days prior to the hearing. Those with speech or hearing impairments may use Relay Utah by dialing 711 or Spanish Relay Utah at 1.888.346.3162.
