The Silver Reef Museum preserved the history of a mining boomtown that existed during the late 1800s. The area was notable for the discovery of silver in sandstone, which is considered a geological rarity.
Located in Leeds, the site now serves as a Wild West Ghost Town situated in a stunning geologic setting.
Visitors began their experience at the Wells Fargo Express Stop Building. The historic museum itself is registered on both the Utah State and National Registers of Historic Buildings.
Guided tours were available of the museum building. Additionally, walking trails provided access to the old Main street and various points of interest located on the grounds behind the museum.
