The Salt Lake County Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a meeting on Nov. 18, 2026, to address land use applications and discuss upcoming zoning changes. According to a notice published Nov. 3, the session will include a business meeting and a discussion regarding an ordinance amendment project to reorganize Title 19 Zoning.
One land use application on the agenda involves CUP2026-001615, a request by Justin Dahl for conditional use approval. Dahl is seeking to continue keeping and maintaining horses for personal use on a 5.34-acre property located at 8510 West Hi Country Road in the FR-5 zone. This phase includes chapters regarding Title, Purpose, and Applicability; Nonconformities; Enforcement; Procedures for Analyzing Takings Claims; Administrative Bodies, Powers & Duties; Zones, Zoning Map, and Boundaries; Land Use Processes and Procedures; Planned Unit Developments; Variances, Exceptions, and Appeals; and Forest Management Zone.
