A moment of silence was held on the House Floor today to remember the Long family following a tragic incident in Wayne County. Rep. Burgess Owens shared that the state is mourning the sudden loss caused by a flash flood.
The victims include Provo Fire Captain Spencer Long, his wife Katrina, and their three sons, Reid, Thayne, and Gage. Rep. Owens stated that the family members are among the very best that Utah has to offer.
On behalf of Utah, condolences are being offered to the family's daughter Lydia, the Provo Fire Department, and the city of Mona.
