The destruction of two major bridges in San Juan County is leaving communities disconnected, which could affect health care, voting and tourism in southeastern Utah. A Highway 163 bridge connecting Bluff and Monument Valley was destroyed in Monday’s floods, leaving a “gaping chasm in the highway where the bridge fell out", according to local authorities.
