The Kearns Improvement District Board of Trustees is scheduled to hold a regular board meeting on Oct. 13, 2026, according to an October 8 notice. The meeting is set to begin at 4:30 PM and is expected to conclude by 7:30 PM.
The agenda for the upcoming meeting includes several items regarding the 2027 fiscal year. The Board will discuss and consider the 2027 tentative budget and the tentative 2027 water and sewer rates and fees. Additionally, trustees will consider setting public hearings for both the 2027 budget and the 2027 water and sewer rates and fees. The Board will also discuss and consider a tentative increase for the 2027 Board of Trustee's compensation, with a public hearing for that item also under consideration.
Other business items on the agenda include the award of an IT consultant and cyber security contract, as well as discussions regarding the Central Valley Water Reclamation Facility Board of Trustees Representative Compensation. The Board will also consider Title 2 Chapter 6 Administrative Policies and Procedures regarding Equal Opportunity and Non-Discrimination. A possible closed meeting regarding the purchase of real property is also noted on the agenda.
The meeting will also feature reports from the General Manager, Communications and Marketing, Public Works, Operations and Maintenance, Administrative, and Financial departments. James 'Woody' Woodruff is scheduled to provide Board Snippet Training regarding an impact fee update. The Board will also consider the check register, training requests, purchases or costs exceeding $50,000, and bond releases or reductions.
The meeting will be held at 5350 W 5400 S, Kearns, UT 84118-7023. Board members may participate via telephone or the internet through a scheduled Zoom meeting.
