The Genola Town Council will hold a public meeting on August 19, 2026, at the public safety building located at 455 N. Main, according to an August 18 notice. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. and is expected to conclude by 10:00 p.m.
The agenda for the meeting includes the approval of minutes from July 15, 2026, and the approval of expenditures totaling $431,481.02. Listed expenditures include payments to Christensen Ready Mix, DreamWorks Builders, and Rocky Mountain Power, among others. Additionally, the Council will consider a work order for $4,200.00 to purchase new AEDs for the fire department.
New business items include a discussion regarding the renewal of the Rise Broadband lease on Cumorah Drive and a potential memorandum of understanding with Juab County for mutual aid regarding fire and ambulance services. The Council will also discuss adding uses to the public facilities zone via the land use appendix table.
The meeting will include reports from the Police Chief, Fire Chief, and Planning Commission. A public forum will be held where up to five residents may address the Council for three minutes each. The Council may also convene a closed session to discuss matters such as litigation or real property transactions.
