The Carbon County Family Support Center is seeking to fill an immediate opening for a part-time Program Outreach Specialist, according to a job posting published September 14. The role involves promoting child abuse prevention services and parent leadership by educating the community, developing awareness events, and facilitating resource and referral activities.
The position is a 25-hour-per-week role, scheduled from Monday through Friday. Responsibilities include managing social media platforms, organizing community awareness events, administering parent surveys, and performing speaking engagements as needed. The specialist will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of a resource and referral hub and will attend community meetings, trainings, or coalitions as assigned by the Director.
The starting wage for the position is $15.45 per hour, which increases to $17.00 per hour after a six-month probationary period. Applicants must possess or maintain a valid Utah Driver’s License and must pass a criminal background check, physical, and drug screen. While an Associate’s Degree or certificate in child development, child abuse prevention, or a related field is preferred, it is not required.
