State officials are reminding the public that simply bringing a life jacket to the water is not enough, as they want individuals to actually wear them while on the water.
According to information originally published at the Davis Journal, Utah law requires life jackets for children until they reach age 13.
Additionally, life jackets are mandatory for anyone on Utah's rivers. The requirement also extends to individuals being towed, including those on water skis or in an inner tube.
