Weber County is currently under Stage 2 fire restrictions. Fire and firework restrictions have been in effect since June 19, 2026.
A statewide restriction on firework discharges through July 5 has been implemented following an executive order signed by Governor Cox. This order declares a state of emergency that suspends UCA 53-7-224 and temporarily restricts fireworks discharge within incorporated cities and municipalities.
The executive order expands firework restrictions to incorporated cities and municipalities, though fireworks remain prohibited on all unincorporated Weber County lands, State Lands, and Federal Lands.
There are two exceptions to the statewide restriction: licensed permitted public fireworks displays and fireworks discharged within a designated area approved by individual cities. Residents are advised that cities may or may not designate such approved areas.
Officials will continue to monitor weather conditions, fire danger, and recommendations from Weber County, Utah Forestry, Fire, and State Lands.
For those in non-restricted areas, officials urge extreme caution when using fireworks during the permitted season. If high winds, precipitation, or other adverse weather conditions occur, fireworks discharge should be postponed or discontinued until conditions improve.
Residents should check individual city websites or social media accounts for specific local information and updates regarding restrictions.
