Southern Utah residents are preparing for a weekend of Halloween celebrations, including community festivals in St. George and Ivins and multiple seasonal attractions at Staheli Family Farm. The festivities, which continue through the end of October, offer a range of activities from family-friendly tours to high-intensity haunted attractions.
St. George Festival Highlights
The St. George Halloween Festival is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 31, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Town Square parking lot off 200 W. Organized by Prestige Event Management Group, the event will feature a costume contest for both children and adults. According to the event organizers, prizes for children include Chromebooks, tablets, and bicycles, while adults can compete for cash prizes.
Scheduled attractions for the festival include a 'Thriller' zombie dance show inspired by Michael Jackson and a visit from the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The event, which takes place at the Town Square 200 W, St. George, Utah 84770, will also offer free candy for children at participating booths, free bounce houses, and music by Sonido Mazter.
Regional Events in Ivins
In Ivins, the city will host the Ivins City Halloween Bash on Oct. 30 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heritage Park. Meanwhile, the Tuacahn Amphitheatre and Center for the Arts is presenting Odyssey Dance Theatre’s Halloween Spectacular Thriller. This performance, which is scheduled between Oct. 28 and Oct. 31, is located at 1100 Tuacahn Drive in Ivins.
Staheli Family Farm Attractions
Staheli Family Farm, a seventh-generation working farm founded in 1892 by Swiss immigrants, is hosting two distinct seasonal experiences through Oct. 31. The 'Field of Screams' is a high-intensity haunted attraction featuring cinematic sets and special effects designed for thrill-seekers. This nighttime attraction requires a separate ticket and a completed waiver for entry.
For those seeking a less intense experience, the farm is also offering 'Field of Screams Lights on Tour.' This family-friendly, 'no-scare' walkthrough allows visitors to see spooky sets and eerie scenes without live actors or active animatronics. These tours are scheduled from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 31.
Seasonal Farm Traditions
The Staheli Family Farm also hosts the annual Staheli Farms Fall Festival, which runs through Oct. 31. This event is part of a broader seasonal lineup that includes the 'Field of Screams' and various seasonal attractions that have been part of the farm's traditions for over 25 years.
Other Local Celebrations
Other regional celebrations include the Haunted Homestead Cemetery Tour and Trick or Treating, which is scheduled for Oct. 29 and Oct. 30 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Frontier Homestead. Additionally, the Day of the Dead Festival is scheduled for Oct. 30 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Cedar City Main Street Park.
Thunder Junction Spook-track-ular
At Thunder Junction All-Abilities Park in St. George, the Spook-track-ular event is being held from Oct. 27 through Oct. 30 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This ticketed event features a haunted train ride, trick-or-treat stations, a Dessert Walk, and a holiday craft station. Tickets are $8 per person, and children ages 2 and under are free. The park is closed to the public during the event hours.
Red Hills Desert Garden Events
The Red Hills Desert Garden is also hosting the Scarecrow Walk & Haunted Canyon. This event features dozens of scarecrows created by local residents and businesses, while the slot canyon is decorated with skeletons and spiders. The attraction is open nightly from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM through Oct. 31, 2026.
