The Wasatch Library Learning Center serves as a space for students to grow as readers, researchers, and creators. The center offers access to print books, the Utah Online Library, SORA, and the district library catalog to help students build information skills and develop a lifelong love of reading.
Students utilize the library to check out books, use digital tools, and connect with stories that reflect their interests and identities. The facility also supports classroom learning by assisting students in finding and evaluating information.
As part of a district-wide reading challenge, the 2025-2026 Battle of the Books is currently underway. Students in grades four through six who read at least five of the twenty assigned books can participate in the school competition scheduled for February 2026.
Participants will compete individually by answering multiple-choice questions regarding the selected titles. The top four winners from Wasatch will form a team to represent the school at the district Battle of the Books in March 2026.
The assigned book list includes titles such as And Then, Boom by Lisa Fipps, Blue Stars. Mission 1, The Vice Principal Problem by Kekla Magoon, and Dogtown by Katherine Applegate. These books are available for checkout in the library or through the Sora online collection.
Families are encouraged to support reading at home by talking about learning, reading regularly with students, and ensuring library books are returned on time.
