Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased in 46 states and the District of Columbia during the first quarter of 2026.
State-level changes showed a range of economic activity, from a 4.5 percent increase in Washington state to a 1.6 percent decrease in South Dakota.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, GDP by state statistics are released alongside the third estimate of U.S. GDP each quarter.
The current release was issued on June 25, 2026, with the next release scheduled for September 30, 2026.
