The BYU Women's Conference continues its tradition of service through Service Learning Rooms, which are open during daytime sessions on Thursday and Friday. These rooms offer various meaningful service projects across six different locations on campus, where participants can earn a unique pin for each room they serve in.
Service projects are scheduled for Wednesday, April 28, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., as well as Thursday, April 29, and Friday, April 30, both from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. To ensure attendees do not miss any content, conference sessions will be streamed into the service rooms.
All materials for these projects are provided, and every completed item is donated to agencies in need. Registered conference attendees of any pass type are eligible to participate. Specific details regarding individual service projects will be posted as they are confirmed.
Available project types and tutorials include items such as Adult Personal Care Kits, Beanie Bunnies, Christmas Stockings, Courage Capes, Fleece Blankets, and many more. The conference also provides free tutorials based on past projects to help individuals plan service activities within their own communities.
Since 1999, BYU Women's Conference attendees have produced over 1,000,000 items sent across the state and the world. The conference works in partnership with various organizations, including Latter-day Saint Charities, local hospitals, schools, and homeless shelters, to address needs related to hunger, illness, and loneliness.
