A Utah Highway Patrol trooper and a Beaver County Sheriff deputy were struck while parked on the shoulder of northbound Interstate 15. The collision occurred after a driver left the designated travel lanes.
According to a Gephardt Daily report, the officers were at the scene investigating a crash when the incident occurred. The driver of the vehicle that ran off the interstate struck the parked vehicles of both the trooper and the deputy.
