Carbon School District has opened registration for the 2026-2027 school year.
Returning students' parents or guardians can complete registration through the Parent Portal by selecting the Returning Student Registration 2026-2027 link. For those who have not created an account, the district advised contacting the child's school on Monday, August 3 to obtain an access ID and password from the school secretary.
Castle Heights Elementary in Price, Utah, is currently seeking applications for several positions.
The district is looking for an Intervention Aide to provide academic support to students in reading, mathematics, and other academic skills. This role involves working with individual students and small groups under the supervision of certified staff. The position offers approximately 26 hours of work per week with a starting pay of $17.59 per hour.
Additionally, the district is seeking a part-time Custodian for Castle Heights Elementary. The role involves cleaning and maintaining the school building and grounds, including walls, windows, furniture, and floors. This position works approximately 20 hours per week from 3pm to 7pm during the school year, with flexible hours during the summer. The starting pay for this role is $17.25 per hour.
In accordance with state and federal regulations regarding the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Carbon County School special education records for students who graduated, completed, or aged out in 2019, 2020, or 2021 are scheduled for destruction.
The district stated that records are only required to be maintained for three years from the date a child graduates or leaves the district. Individuals wishing to obtain these records for personal use should contact the CSD Special Education office at 435-613-3159 before July 30, 2026.
The district also highlighted the summer reading program, noting that students must log at least 6 books to earn a stuffed giraffe backpack charm and participate in the reading parade. Students can enter their books via the Summer Reading Tracker on the Castle Heights Elementary webpage.
