Weber State University begins the second half of its 2026 regular season on Saturday, Oct. 10, when the Wildcats host the Idaho Vandals at Stewart Stadium. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff in Ogden.
The Wildcats enter the matchup with a 3-3 season record and a 2-1 record in Big Sky play. They are coming off a 42-34 double-overtime victory against Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. During that game, Nate Dahle led the team with 308 yards of total offense, including 223 passing yards and 85 rushing yards. Sophomore defensive end Porter Small, a Springville, Utah, native, was named the Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week following his performance in the win, which included three sacks and four tackles for loss.
Idaho enters the contest with a 1-4 overall record. The Vandals are coming off a 35-34 victory over No. 1 ranked Montana State in Moscow. This game marks the 36th meeting between the two schools, representing Idaho's first visit to Ogden in three seasons.
Weber State's offense currently leads the Big Sky and ranks 10th in the nation in scoring offense, averaging 37.5 points per game. The team has scored at least 30 points in all five FCS games played this season. The Wildcats also rank third in the conference and 15th in the nation in total offense, averaging 452.8 yards per game.
For the upcoming game, Weber State will wear the State Beehive logo on their helmets. The broadcast will be available on KJZZ TV, KMYU TV, ESPN+, and the ESPN app, with Dave Fox, Alema Harrington, and Frank Dolce providing commentary. The radio broadcast will feature Carl Arky and former Wildcat quarterback Dave Stireman on 103.1 FM.
This season marks the first year for Eric Kjar as head coach and offensive coordinator. Kjar previously coached at Corner Canyon High School in Draper, Utah, where he recorded a 112-10 record and six state championships. The current Weber State roster includes 80 new players and 53 players from the state of Utah.
Following the matchup against Idaho, Weber State is scheduled to host longtime rival Idaho State on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 1:00 p.m.
