Emily Horowitz and Jake Moore of Colorado Law led the annual National Association of Law Student Affairs Professionals conference held from June 9-11, 2026. The event brought together peers to share best practices, address emerging challenges, and strengthen support for law students across the nation.
The University of Colorado Law School recently celebrated its 2025 Alumni Award honorees at the 44th annual Colorado Law Alumni Awards Banquet. Held on March 20, 2025, at the Sheraton Downtown Denver, the event honored Michael McCarthy ’75, Sara Hoverstock ’04, William Leone ’82, Amy Parsons ’99, Marissa Kardon Weber ’19, and Eric Williams ’05.
Other recent academic activities include the 16th Annual Schultz Lecture in Energy, co-hosted by the Getches-Wilkinson Center and Center of the American West. The lecture featured special guest Tommy Beaudreau, the former Deputy Secretary of the Interior.
The school continues to host discussions on significant legal issues, such as the 33rd Annual Ira C. Rothgerber Conference focused on Immigration & National Borders. This conference featured a keynote from Professor Hiroshi Motomura of UCLA Law regarding his book, Borders & Belonging: Toward a Fair Immigration Policy.
