Treatments Scheduled In High Uintas To Restore Native Cutthroat Trout

Department of Agriculture and the Forest Service will be conducting more treatments on two drainages in the High Uintas to help restore native Colorado River cutthroat trout. According to a DWR press release, the treatments use rotenone, a natural substance toxic to fish but not dangerous to people or other wildlife, to remove non-native fish from the areas where native cutthroat trout will be restored.
