Charges dismissed against rideshare driver accused of assault

A rideshare driver in Utah who was accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a client had his charges dismissed last week. Alejandro Rendon Segovia, 27, of South Salt Lake, was charged in 3rd District Court in September 2025 with aggravated kidnapping and object rape, first-degree felonies; and obstruction of justice, a second-degree felony.
