Logan has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first city in Utah to receive both State and National Main Street Accreditation. This designation comes from Utah Main Street and Main Street America.

The Mayor noted that this achievement is the result of the vision, drive, and perseverance of various people and organizations, including Logan City Leadership, downtown businesses, stakeholders, and the Logan Downtown Alliance.
New Center Street safety project
The city is also launching a new project on May 26 to improve safety and quality for future events on Center Street. Traffic control bollards will be installed on both the east and west ends of the block between Main Street and 100 W.
This initiative aims to create a safe, walkable zone during events without requiring police, fire, or city vehicles to block traffic. The project is intended to foster an open atmosphere for outdoor activities while ensuring city vehicles remain available for other needs.

Furthermore, city sewer crews have been utilizing high-tech equipment for proactive maintenance to reduce system backups and emergency costs.
